Vern is one of the best dartball players I have ever played with. He has played at a high level for 50 plus years and is a great promoter of dartball. Even at his current age he is a real asset to our team and is a joy to be around . I have been fortunate to be on teams with him for many years . He is truly deserving to be in the dartball hall of fame.

In my short time playing dartball, Vern has been a kind and accepting role model on how to carry oneself, and how to play the game.

I remember Vern and the Metalspun team  crushing us in the West Allis Classic League and in the 4 man tournaments.  Now I'm glad he's on my team Thursdays.

At age 88 still going strong. Last month he went 9-16 at KCC w/ 7 triples.  Amazing at that age.

Last week he told me a story how he had 5 wooden dartboards made  by a shop teacher getting rid of his drafting boards. Vern bought them and gave 4 of them away.

Vern is one of the most respected players for his class and longevity.

Vern is the epitome of what you want in dartball and is deserving of membership in the Hall of Fame. He is a great teammate, respected opponent, gracious when winning or losing, and an engaging and friendly person. He has been a great player on really good teams in the best of leagues while also playing in the most competitve levels of tournaments.
